Blessings Church family,
April was an amazing month. Celebrating our LORD's death/burial/resurrection places an exclamation point on the GOSPEL! We will rise because Jesus rose. We are victorious because Jesus is victorious. We are an heir of God because Jesus is an heir. We are holy in God's eyes because Jesus is holy. We can go on and on; but the truth remains – we are to be like Jesus.
How do we know that? Romans 8:29: "…to be conformed to the image of His Son…" Jesus has done everything to make us like Himself. Our minds need to be reminded of that fact (Romans 12:1 – 2, 1 Peter 1:13 – 21). One of the Holy Spirit's jobs is to bring out Jesus in you (John 16:14). So, get in the Word; know the Word; memorize the Word; and let the Word get in you!
What better way to know the Word than to be involved in Sunday morning Bible study! I urge you to find a class this Sunday and get involved. There are so many great classes to choose. Soon we will be taking an interest survey for upcoming Fall small groups. Please take time and fill out the interest questionnaire when you receive it. Pray for the Lord's leadership as we seek to grow in Him and be more like Him.
May reminds us that Mother's Day is coming soon! May 14th to be exact. That day we'll be having a Ladies/Girls choir. Rehearsal for that choir will be Wednesday night, May 10th at 8:00pm in the Family Life Center. Also, we will rehearse Sunday morning, the 14th, at 9:30am in the Family Life Center. Any lady/girl school age and up is invited. Please come fill the choir loft.
Also that day our Children's Choir be singing! So, you don't want to miss this special day as we honor/remember our mothers.
Blessings, Boyd
