I am 63 years old, married and have two beautiful daughters. I have 5 grandchildren ranging in ages from 3 to 23. I am a member of Samaria Baptist Church and have been going since my Mama gave birth to me. I have been a caregiver for most of my life. I watched children in my home for 20 years, worked with United Cerebral Palsy for 10 years, and I've worked at pilot Baptist Daycare for 12 years. I know Pilot Baptist Daycare is a business, but we act as family. When I first started, I was in the school kids class and from there, went to the toddler class. I have been in the nursery for 10 years with the same co-worker whom I dearly love. We do love our babies and the parents put their trust in us daily. We love watching them grow from leaving the nursery until they reach the pre-k 4 year old class. It's wonderful to work at the daycare where the name of Jesus is taught daily. I have truly been blessed to be a part of the Pilot Baptist Daycare Ministry for all these years and pray that I am blessed with a few more before retiring!!
I have been working at Pilot Baptist Daycare since December 2016.
Prior to working at the daycare, I worked at Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville, North Carolina for about 3 years. I also worked at the YMCA for their summer camp for special needs children in the summer of 2016 and volunteered for their club one Thursday out of every month with the same group of kids. I graduated high school in June of 2016. Throughout high school I was a very active member in Club Unify which was also for special needs children and getting into my senior I became president of the club. Now I am going on my second year of college at Nash Community. I am attending Nash for my Nursing degree. I spend a lot of time babysitting, working, going to school, and also going to the beach!
I have worked at Pilot Baptist Daycare for 7 years.
I love working with children and I enjoy every minute of it. Arts and crafts and science projects are my faborite things to do with the kids. I have a 3 year old son, I'm engaged and soon to be married! I graduated from Bunn Hich School in 2010. I love a good cup of coffee and chocolate chip cookies. I'm blessed to have such great family and friends and I thank God everyday for getting a chance to make a childs day brighter.
Hello. My name is Denise Hicks.
I have been part of the Pilot Baptist Daycare Ministry staff since February 2004. Working at the center has been an amazing journey. I am truly blessed to be working at a center where the staff feels like family and the parents make you feel loved. I have worked with each age group and found that it's hard to have a favorite age to be with because with each age group you experience many different things. I enjoy working with children and I love how each child have their own personality and I love to watch them grow and develop throughout their time at the center. I graduated from bunn High School in 2002. From then I went to Shaw University for 2 years and transferred to Vance Granville Community College in 2004. I majored in Early Childhood Education but was not able to finish due to changes in my life. However, I would love to continue my education so I can learnmore and have more resources when it comes to teaching little minds. I am also a mother to a little boy who is my everything. I think becoming a mom opened up a new view on how I look at life. I enjoy being a mom even with the challenges that come along. But with a lot of faith and help from my loving family it makes it a lot easier to overcome. When I'm not at the daycare, I enjoy spending time with my family and my best friend. Whether being out at gatherings or spending time at home, having a good time is what I love. Just being in the presence of my family and friends is what I enpoy.

Deborah Jean Carlyle
Married for fourty four years to my loving husband Randy Carlyle.
I have two sons and a daughter in-law which has brought forth to us the pride in our lives my two grandchildren. My hobbies are going to the lake and beach swimming and playing with my grandchildren, to just having fun in life. I am a member of Rocky Cross Holiness Church and serving God and doing His will is my main objective and goal in life. I feel that I am a strong team player because I have the personality that I can get along with anyone and I have never met a stranger that I couldn't make a friend. I absolutely love working with the toddler's because I teach them a lot during the day but they also teach me a lot, like the little things in life that are so precious to me like walking up behind you grabbing your leg or when I change their diapers the little smile you get and they say I love you because they feel secure and they truly mean it. That's what makes life special and worthwhile at Pilot Baptist Daycare Ministry.
I have worked at Pilot Baptist Daycare Ministry since September of 1994.
I was originally hired as a part time employee as the teacher in the School Age room. I quickly went to work full time with the Three Year Olds. I have worked in the Three Year Old class, the Four Year Old class, and even for a time as the Preschool teacher. I've served a term as the Interim Director, the Assistant Director, and the Co Director. I have also been a co teacher in our School Childrens' summer program since the summer of 1995. I was raised in the Louisburg United Methodist Church. I was christened as an infant, sang in the cherub choir, served as an acolyte, went through confirmation, and was baptized at the Methodist Church. I grew up on one of the two of Franklin County's working dairy farms. I graduated from Bunn High School and attended Nash Community College for Phlebotomy. I have been married to my wife Jennifer for twenty years. We still currently live on a farm outside of Castalia. Jennifer and I have many animals including Macon, our American Bulldog and Jenny, our Donkey. You will find us during the fall cheering on the Bunn Wildcat's football team, the NC State Wolfpack, and enjoying most of our free time outdoors.
